Have you ever felt like your skin care regimen is seriously lacking in results? Are you new to the skin care world and want to find out what's best for your skin type? Are you already an avid skin care fan but are always willing to learn something new? Good news, this is the post for you!

While it may seem daunting to figure out what to do in your beauty regimen, it doesn't have to be so stressful. There are several ways you can improve your skin care regimen and luckily, these tips don't take too much time out of your busy life. Before we start, let me remind you that skin care regimens are best started as early as possible; the sooner you start, the sooner you will see results! With that in mind, let's continue with four amazing skin care tips to up your beauty game:

Change Up Your Products Depending On The Weather

Remember the first time you tried your favorite moisturizer? How you loved the way it made your skin feel and you never wanted to use another moisturizer ever again? Even though it's completely understandable to want to stick with a product that gives you desired results, that very moisturizer may not be as effective during the winter time or summer time. It's important to pay attention to your skin's needs and address your specific issues with products made for that very purpose. For example, winter time can be extremely harsh on your hair and skin; in these conditions, a rich, heavy moisturizer would be better than the fast absorbing one you love to use during the summer.

Never Skip SPF Application

While it may not seem like anything new to remind you of the importance of SPF application, there's a common misconception that you only need to use SPF during the summer or when you're going to the beach or hiking. SPF protection is an absolute necessity in any skin care regimen, no matter the season or occasion. Make an effort to apply SPF everyday before leaving the house; the sun can scar your skin and too much exposure can lead to skin cancer and early aging. This skin regimen step should also include finding a lip balm or lipstick that has SPF protection; remember, your lips need love and protection too!

Introduce A Serum

Most of the time, when someone mentions skin care, the first thing that comes to mind is moisturizer. While moisturizing is an essential part of any skin care regimen, another jewel is usually ignored: serums. Serums are more lightweight than moisturizers and absorb very quickly into the skin; this is because serums are water based and don't contain occlusive emollients. A good tip when applying serums is to leave your face moist after cleansing. Cleansing and leaving your skin moist before applying your serum helps the ingredients seep deeper into the skin, making your skin care products more efficient! The trick is to not pull your skin and stay away from the eye area since the skin is so fragile there. Use circular and upwards motions as you massage, this helps fight gravity and not drag your skin downwards. Use a light oil to avoid tugging and feel how your body and mind relaxes. This technique helps blood circulation and lowers your stress levels, making it a wonderful addition to your daily routine. Not only will your complexion look and feel younger, but your wrinkles will look less pronounced as well!
